When I replace my windshield wipers (2 front and 1 rear), I cut pieces of the rear wiper (as it has the least usage) and use them on the front headlamps. I always use Bosch Microedge Excel wipers and they work great.
The small pieces for the headlights are held in the wiper arms by a slight crimping of the wiper arm with pliers. This is the way the factory wiper blades were held to the wiper arms.
