Guys, I need some assistance with suggestions on what to do to solve the issue with the front brakes, (drivers side).

There is a constant, faint, chirp coming from the brakes while driving. Apply a slight bit of brake pedal and the chirp goes away.

Also, when applying moderate braking pressure when coming to a stop, there is what I can only describe as a creak. Think like jumping up and down in the bed of a 61 Chevy pickup. When coming to a stop, and applying moderate pressure to generate this sound, if you when apply more pressure on the brakes the noise goes away.

Car stops fine, there appear to be no functional problems with the brake

This started a while ago actually, I started looking into the issue, and noticed the back join on the lower control arm was shot, replaced both left and right lower control arms. New pads, had the rotors turned. Also noticed the upper thread for the caliper was buggered up. I put a timesert in the steering knuckle for the caliper. The timesert seems fine to me, and holds proper torque.

Re-assembled and used the "no squeak" spray on the rotors prior to re-assembly.

I've flushed the entire brake fluid (power bleeder) just to ensure no air is in the system.

Seemed to be fine for a short while, then the noises returned.

Last weekend end took the calipers off, lubed up the slides on the calipers to ensure they were sliding freely, they were not, also re-sprayed the no squeak on the rotor again (should not have done that though). Re-assembled and thought for sure I had fixed it. I drove it around that day and it seemed perfect. Wife drove it the next day, and let me know the issue had returned.

Hrmm....maybe if I simply dont let me wife drive it that will solve the issue. Nah, that would mean she would have to drive my Viggen, and that definitely isnt a solution.

Just took the car out, sure enough same thing as before. Im heading out now to again to check the calipers, and I think I am going to order a new set up pads just to seem. But I am fresh out of ideas as to what the issue could be. I'm about ready to take the think somewhere (midas?) which is something I have not had to resort to in a very long time...if ever.

Any assistance is appreciated.
