hoping it did not have a 3rd sensor:

cheapest to most expensive:
1. bad ground or connection to sensor
2. open or shorted circuit to sensor
3. bad (failed) sensor
4. don't know which is cheaper here:
catalytic converter
pcm

difficult one to diagnose.

when a cat is plugged, all kinds of weird codes come up (or fail to come up for that matter), and start-ability becomes an issue. but in your case, at least the car can be started and run down the road at 65mph. also reason being the only code thrown other than sensor, was a misfire. that might be a good sign that the cat is ok. but with 200k miles it could be a long-shot. but, clogged cats indeed cause misfires.

a wrench with a real time scanner could see if the other two O2 sensors are functioning properly and good probability of cat condition at the same time. freeze frame data would also determine the conditions of the engine at the exact time code was thrown. (even when you know of the driving conditions when light came on, this is valuable in diagnosing problem with other engine data).

generally, the third sensor monitors cat efficiency.

its a marvel of a computer system when it is working, IMO. radically different from anything else.

hopefully some members who understand the third O2 sensors function in
t5 system could shed some more light on this.

hope it's the cheapest fix.
