If you're specifically into hot hatches, it's a tough call. So many cars and they all look about the same. Which is why I like the Viggen. I just finished getting mine back on the road after transmission troubles and upgraded it to stage 3 at the same time. It's been a blast to drive this fall.
I notice you have the 2000 Viggen which doesn't have traction control. For winter driving, I would have sold my 2001 Viggen long ago if it didn't have TCS. But once I got an Audi, the light bulb went on and AWD is a must-have feature for me. So if you have any amount of bad weather to deal with, I'd suggest a gently used Audi in a heartbeat. $25k of used Audi vs. $25k of new Ford.... No comparison. Go for a test drive and you'll see what I mean.
