The axle knuckle or its socket in the transmission housing cause a slight knocking sound when turning if either is worn. If you hear that sound when you are holding speed on a long sweeping corner, that's the place I'd check. I've had the socket go bad on two Saabs.
The wheel bearings make noise when turning also if they are going bad but that is more of a constant noise instead of a knocking sound.
