Re: Front Suspension on 2001 Saab 9-3 SE? Posted by Slug [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Front Suspension on 2001 Saab 9-3 SE?, Rick P, Wed, 26 Jun 2013 09:31:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I went for a front suspension overhaul on my 02 9-3 SE at ~90k mi when one of the front struts sprang a leak and one of the bushings on the control arm attached to the broken strut ripped completely. No dampening in that front corner for the duration of a 250 mi road trip...
I'd say if your suspension is still original, your struts may be very tired. Before mine sprang a leak, I suspect that my struts were so worn out that it was seriously compromising braking effectiveness (front end dive). After the suspension rebuild, braking feel was significantly improved.
