It is probably the throttle body that had a hiccup and went into limp home mode.
For some strange reasons, it seems that cruise engaged have an impact on throttle body when it start to get old and worn.
I have had a few people saying they could drive for hours with no cruise engaged and then when they use the cruise, it tripped LHM and after reset, they could drive again and not using the cruise.
Eventually, the throttle body needs to be replaced.
If you know your way around the engine you could reset the codes and then limp home mechanism and check/clean out the throttle body and see how long it takes before it trips again.
