It's a misconception among people that polyurethane bushings are better than the original rubber.
In a racing environment where things gets taken apart and replaced on a regular basis, the polyurethane is working well to stiffen up suspension and steering but that product is not to be seen a superior product that last forever.
I have a few customer that bought different parts made of polyurethane like transmission mounts, control arm bushings and tierod bushings and I have had to replace them on a regular basis and some decided to go back to original instead.
If you grab the wheel and turn it back and forth and feel some play, the bushings are probably worn out.
