Noted that an aftermarket ignition coil has been fitted to my 9-3 SE auto which is housed behind the battery tray. Some months ago, the ignition lead leading from the distributor to the coil perished at the coil end (car would only crank, no start!), the RAC guy came and replaced the lead whence the car started immediately. However, he mentioned that the coil may not be standard spec and have it checked and replace with proper original spec. Been so busy, never got around to it - any ideas what spec is the proper ignition coil for this model and best way to check if it is faulty, etc?
Car basically drives ok with a smooth idle but lacks the original pull at pick up.
