The kit certainly helps alot to make the oil breath easier and probably reduces the "majority" of oil breakdown under extreme heat with full synthetic oil. But, for 100%, i wouldn't think so. You certainly are doing the right things to help reduce sludge, have popped off the valve cover for a look yet? How did the main bearings look--any filings on the bottom of the oil pan?
My 01' SE with 195K now had the #6 installed at 166K and then the pick up tube was about 40% clogged. (I did have the Saab Recall done for Sludge back in 2002). My Indy told me that they can install a customized heat shield over the catalytic and below the oil pan to help further reduce the oil from cooking on the pick up tube. You might want to try do something like that to futher help eliminate the sludge.
