Depending on the price and demand, a good running car that can pass a local inspection would definitly be interesting to someone who does not want to spend a lot of money for reliable transportation. As a collectible, I agree with the general sentiment here, probably not a good bet unless it is in outstanding condition. Your options when a car reaches a certain age and condition are limited to sell it to either a buyer or a salvage yard or donate to a charity who will just sell it to a salvage yard.
If you want to test the waters now.. list it and see what you get for interest.. a salvage yard will give you less than $500 so if you keep you can try and sell it in that ballpark and maybe someone will pick it up. Just be careful how much you invest, at a certain point high dollar repairs and replacements make no sense for any car. On the other hand you cannot get cars like it anymore and the OG900 has alot of pluses compared to other used cars available today. IMHO
