This is a belated response. It took me awhile to figure this out, but first check the relays that are in the engine main fuse box nearest the driver's side. I think this is the cause of a lot of these cars problems.
I just wanted to add this because this is what happened to my 98 SE900. I would swap out the other relays that are the same (Relay (5-pin) - Bosch 0332209159)that you know are working like the high or low beam headlamps while the engine is running (do this carefully as the relay's function is to protect your wiring harness from overload!), and place it into the ACC 5 pin slot. If that is the case, order online and only buy Bosch or european parts as their are cheap knock offs coming from China that won't last!
