Since both windows have failed simultaneously it must be a common problem. Is there an interlock with the convertible top that prevents windows being raised under certain situations? What about the individual window switches, both on the console and the rear seat areas? I assume you are trying the common window switch in the console to raise these. Maybe that is the cause. Three switches placed in parallel. If one fails the current may be routed somewhere other than the motor when either of the other switches are closed.
