missing part of console cover near ignition Posted by John Stephen [Email] (#2392) [Profile/Gallery] (more from John Stephen) on Sat, 4 Aug 2018 10:34:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
On my 2002 Saab 9-3, on the center console where the automatic gear shift lever is, a small section of the black rubber or plastic cover on the console is missing, right by the ignition/key slot. I've included a photo in my gallery (see link). Would this be an attempted car theft (did somebody cut out that piece of the black console cover to try to get to the ignition and hot-wire my car), or is this something that happens to Saabs? The missing piece has perfectly square edges, there's no ragged cuts in it. No windows were broken, and I don't see any obvious signs that somebody broke into the car.
