It looks to me like the PIAA 26-17304 H4 Platinum LED Replacement Bulb kit will fit in the Saab housings, assuming PIAA's published measurements are accurate. I have ordered a set to try them out. These also don't use a cooling fan - they just have a reversible heat sink on the base of the bulb.
The overall dimensions of the LED bulb with heat sink seems to be less than an H4 bulb with the connector attached to the base. I will soon find out.
