This post is spurred by an email I received from Wayne who is replacing his intermediate pipe.
Exhaust nut removal sockets:
"Bolt Grip Sockets", "Turbo Sockets", every manufacturer has their own name for these sockets. All have internal spiral cutting thread to bite into the body of corroded nuts and bolt heads. The reason for these should be obvious. I have the base set with case and the expansion set which is an additional 5 loose sockets of different sizes.
Expanding pistol-grip clamp:
The exhaust pipes sprang apart when I removed my old intermediate pipe. I used a clamp like this, but with jaws reversed for spreader mode, to insert between a rear body seam and the muffler. This allowed me to push the muffler forward using one hand while aligning the exhaust pipe ends with the other hand.
