Had the Viggen cvt for 2 weeks now and have been busy. Put on PCV6 update and new VCG, which has helped the oil leaks immensely. Sent the ABS module off to BBA and should have it back early next week. Changed engine oil and MTF, which has improved shifting greatly, and will do the trans mount and front engine mount soon. Rear mount looked pretty good for now. SID display is toast, so ordered a new ribbon cable and screen. Belt and idler pulley will be the next to be replaced, along with the water pump, since I noticed some coolant drops. Tensioner seems OK for now. interior is trashed and the leather seating surfaces are on life support, and the top needs waterproofing badly. I washed and scrubbed the crap out of it with upholstery shampoo, but massive algae stains remain, so I will look at re-dyeing it maybe in the spring. I have a lingering P1135 code and have a new O2 sensor to install but from what I hear this may not rectify it--stay tuned. Overall a fun car to drive- stiff suspension plus 45 series tires means free chiropractic adjustments going over bumps and I look like an idiot driving with the top down when its 8 degrees C and sunny but whatever! Just recently retired from 30 years in health care so I don't give a &*^@ about anything!
