The faint bulbs are "City Lights"

Hi,
that faint glow is what some people call "City Lights". Most (if not all) cars in euroupe, s. america, maybe even asia have this feature.
If you set they're lights in "park", it illuminates the parking (amber) lights, as well as a small 5 watt bulb in the headlight. The theory is, in a major city, you can drive around with out your headlights on, since there is so much ambient light from street lamps, etc.
Also, its a nice feature, since even if one of your regular 55 watt low beams burn out, an oncoming car can still see you are a car, from the glow of the 5 watt bulb, which stays on even in the "headlight" switch position.
Anyway, someone else on this board told me about all this, and so I can't take the credit. There is a really good lighting company website.

GIve it a try.
And also... I "deprogramed" my DTL's in my 97 900s, and I love it... I can keep my city lights on which is great in boston...
