Dear Fellow Saab Owners
reg. Saab 900, 1995 2.3
Thank you for all the response, but...
1. It is not a balancing problem, since all wheels have been balanced several times and we are talkin 2 different rims and 3 different tires.
The problems could be solved by balancing in the beginning, but after it gets more serious there is no way to balance it out.
This explains why some of you can solve it by balancing, it works only in the beginning.
2. It is not a out of round problem, because I had this problem with the Nokian Tires by 2-4mm (and it gave another type of vibration by 160km/h (100mph) ), but it was changed to Continental and carefully inspected why spinning of the wheel when balancing.
Out of round problems can in some cases be solved by moving the tire on the rim. But my wheels are round and also i tried with 2 different set of rims.
Remember a new car is not very sensitive to balancing and can even accept a not round wheel by up to 1-2mm. But my theory is that after some essential parts are worn out, it is first very sensitive to balancing and later you cannot balance the vibrations away.
I tend to think it is something in the bearings axles or whatever???
Do you have any ideas???
Best Regards
J. W. Nielsen
