Actually the composition of WD40 is approx. 70% stoddard solvent and approx. 20% de-waxed light petroleum oil, plus less than 10% "other non-hazardous ingredients".
I have had good results spraying WD40 on a rag (or paper towel) and wiping the antennea to remove all the accumulated debris. Reapply the WD40 to a clean area of the rag (or new paper towel)and wipe again until clean. Then wipe the antennea with just a clean rag or paper towel to remove the majority of the oil residue.
This keeps the antennea clean and the slight amont of residual oil keeps ice from sticking to the antennea.
