Dean & Dave - thanks for your input. Dean, I checked all of the fuses and they are ok. I removed cowling to get to the fan motor and tested the the connection to see if it was hot - it was. So apparently the juice is getting to the motor. The motor does turn freely. I also went through the ACC diagnostic process, but this did not activate the fan. I guess this leads me to conclude the either the moter is bad OR, per Dave's suggestion, the fan speed control unit is the problem.
I will to check the fan speed control unit as Dave is suggested, but I am not quite sure how to go about this. Dave stated in his note that the fan speed control unit is in a wire harness behind the glove box next to the ACC panel. Could you help me out a little more in suggesting how to get to this harness (i.e. do I get to it by somehow disassembling the dash, or can I get to the harness in the engine compartment? Unfortunately I do not have the Chilton's manual (yet).
Thanks again for the support.
