Well, my body sometimes acts the same way. The plastic parts contract in the cold, and expand in the heat. So, as the vehicle warms, the parts move and make noise. They are also a bit loose, and stiff. So vehicle flex can make them creak a bit too. The heat and defroster ducts can move rather quickly as they are warmed rapidly.
If you keep your vehicle in an attached garage, these noises will be greatly reduced for the morning commute.
Speaking of noise, when I was young, long ago :), I put hypoid 90 gear oil in my Opel GT gear box. I thought that the published oil spec was a misprint. On a cold winter day, the noise and drag from that gear box was very loud. But is did warm up rather fast with the HP that it was absorbing while the oil was thick.
Was this a gag post?
