Well, since we don't really have a defined service of any kind, I ALWAYS have posted, and will continue mt radition here, of stating whenever you have a run problem of any kind, always start by replacing the plugs. ALways use NGK plugs--BCPR 6ES gapped to 0.039 " and torqued to 20 ft lbs.
If you cannot DEFINITELY state these plugs are LESS than 15,000 miles old, then spend the 10 bucks to change 'em.
"Other problems coming to light" may not necessarily be the case, yet.
Secondly, you compare a 2.3 turbo to a 2.0 turbo. The low end torque of the 2.3 is stronger than the 2.0 you now have.
I guarantee you your arguing with your dealer is much better if you can positively show them the performance stinks WITH NEW PLUGS I JUST INSTALLED IN THE CAR vs your present position.
I know very few SAAB dlrs. who will pony up $$ for a new ECU without replacing plugs FIRST anyway.
