I'm new at this, so any help would be greatly appreciated. The Check Gear Box light has come on 3 times in the last 6 months. I finally broke down and took it to the dealership (I've been able to reset it each and every time, but something tells me it's not supposed to come on - ha). They tell me that the Transmission Control Module may (operative word) need replaced. The technician reprogrammed it and it's driving fine, so the concensus was to leave it alone for now. The car only has 64,000 miles on it and I'm hearing from the dealership that this shouldn't happen at this stage and that perhaps Saab will help out if it does indeed need replaced. (really?!) My warranty of course will not cover it b/c it's not an internal part of the transmission. UGH..Anyone else ever have this problem or have any advice? I love this car but this is about the 4th thing in a string of what I like to refer to as demonic possessions. Thanks.
