Dean,
My 9-3 hasn't had check valve problems yet, but the 9K has. I saw something a bit different in my check valves. No build up, but definitely some serious deterioration of the diaphragm. The diaprhagm was almost gooey. Made me think it might be latex or a close relative. I know a lot of rubber materials are rather sensitive to Methanol/Ethanol and one of the reasons you don't see high concentrations in "gasohol".
The blue stuff I usually buy has methanol in it. Could this be our problem?
