Guys, I am looking to buy a 94 900S 2.0L (none turbo, may be it's a special config for Hong Kong, I live in HK by the way). The car is automatic with 57K km on it. I have spend the past few days on this borad and learned a great deal from you guys. Now after my test drive, following issues is found:
1. "Check Engine" light: The on board computer ICU? has check engine light when I turn the key. And also during the test drive, the gas was low and see the gas warning together with the little "check engine" light on the dashboard (not the computer). I realize the emission is not so good, with some black dust in the tail pipe, but the car idles okay and the engine temprature rise to 9 o'clock after few mins. What could be wrong? Oxyen sensor? thermostat?
2. Do I need to change the pulleys and serpentine belt after buying it considering the 57K km on it?
3. A/C is not very cold, might be the blower, how could I find out?
I don't think there are many experienced mechnics in Hong kong knowladgable on SAAB, that's why I think you guys can help more.
Thanks so much. Really want to be a SAAB owner.
