In the SAAB e-code european and the USA DOT headlights, there are in fact two bulbs. The main bulb is the H4 bulb (aka. HB2 or 9003, dual filament, 60/55 watt) which is the low beam/high beam bulb. There is a smaller second bulb located in the outborad side of the headlight ( out toward the turn signal indictors). This is a mini-wedge base W5W bulb (Osram #2825, single filament, 5 watt). This bulb is sometimes known as 'city lights' because the 5 watt bulb is used to drive around on well lite city streets in europe and not blind people with the H4 bulbs.
I use the 'city lights' here in Seattle for boarding the ferry, and not blind the ferry workers with the H4 biulbs,
