Had my car in for a few warranty repairs today. They had to remove my climate control panel to fix something, idiots left marks around the plastic. I was really angry when I saw that. Had the service manager come out and see the mess these so called "pros" did to my car. You know what the old fart says, "thats no big deal". Its my car, Ill decide whats a big deal. I told him that if I didnt care about hacking up the dash I would have done the repair myself. His response was that its normal, "we have to use screwdrivers to pry open that panel". By now Im pretty angry. The guy continues, "you only bring your car here for warranty repairs, after the warranty is up Ill never see you again". What I do after the warranty is up is my business, it shouldnt affect current service. I said no other dealership would suggest marking the dash is "normal" and he replies, "maybe you should get another dealership". This guy has an attitude, just because I didnt buy from them and want service, service that I expect to be quality. To be honest, I wanted to punch this guy in the nose at this point. I will not let those comments slide. Complaint emails have been sent to GM Canada and to the dealership management. Oh yes, I will use names here...West Island SSI in Montreal, STAY AWAY bitter old man at the service desk, Gilles is his name. I have a warranty, why does this guy make me feel like hes doing me a favor when I have things repaired? Transmission seals were scheduled for next week, not any more. Wouldnt bring my car there if they paid me. Too bad too, the place is 10 minutes from home.
