kk, just had my neutral (range) switch replaced on my 94 900S Automatic a few weeks ago. I believe it lies above the tranny with no major disassebly required although a Saab mechanic would be a good bet to do the job. That is unless you can do it your self. The part was $325 (about average from what I found) and involved some heavy saab certified hours. I paid a good buck although she runs like a charm now - smooth cold starts and no more "Check Gear Box" light. Good Luck.
