But the 'level' is totally inadequate. The only way to get a good headlight aim is to follow the instructions on Daniel Sterns website for aiming the European E-code headlights. In the USA, and I believe Canada, The Saab NG900 and 9-3 use a bastardized E-code headlight design that meets the USA DOT requirements. It can be aimed just like an E-code headlight, but does not have nearly as good a beam pattern as the real E-code headlights.
There are two adjustment points for the USA Saab NG900 and 9-3 headlights. The knob protruding from the back of the headlight assembly adjusts the headlight aim side to side. The adjustment for vertical headlight aim is located on the side of the headlight asssembly near the turn sinal, along the bottom edge of the headlight assembly. The adjustment can be reached using a 8 -inch long 6MM or 1/4" hex wrench through an access hole in the sheetmetal radiator cross brace.
BTW, you can fit E-code headlights to your USA NG900 or 9-3 for around USD$425. I bought my E-code headlights from Daniel Stern and really love the better light beam control and the increase in brightness.
