It would be nice to know if you have done anything thus far to fix the problem. Things like time or miles on plugs and cables etc.
General maintenance items that you should attend to... the basics:
Plugs in good shape and gapped. If in doubt, replace.. Use spec plugs, do not substitute. External insulator needs to be clean as well.
Read the plugs. Any cylinder to cylinder variation? Dark? Light? signs of tracking?
Clean injectors. Techron Concentrate strongly recommened. Be sure it is the 'concentrate'.
Clean the wires, rotor and distributor cap. Also the business end of the coil. Make sure that boots and cables are fully seated. Check cap for signs of tracking.
If screws on the cover plate over the plugs have a sloppy fit, put a small amount of locktite blue on them.
If you have never cleaned the inside of the throttle body, now is the time.
The fuel filter will not be an issue at idle if you have been getting adequate on throttle power lately.
With this new problem, have you just filled up at a gas station that you do not normally use? The fuel could be bad. Turbo owners have noticed such problems in the past.
Check your battery connections. Clean and tight? Check electrolyte level and top up with distilled water. This needs to be done 3X's /year.
