brake pad update part 2 (of 3, I guess)

I finally got the rear pads done today. It took awhile due to the need to run to Lowe's (in a firend's car) twice to get tools and a Dremel grinder bit (damn slots in rear pads don't quite line up). Plus I was rained on twice and had to wait it out inside (no garage). So, I was wondering if it is OK for the head of one of the pins through the caliper to not be exactly flush? Its in there tight, but didn't line up perfectly. The other one is fine, and so are the tension clips. Plus, there are no weird noises from the brakes (rubbing, grinding, etc).
Also, my Bendix pads fit fine. I had to really get the piston retracted flush in order to get them in, but that was due to the extreme wear to the existing pads.
