Recommendation on 65K cost-cutter check-up?

Yeah, I do own a '97 900S and one would think I wouldn't be tight in being able to drive it. But I "stretched" to get the car used with 47K around 21 months ago and it now has 67K, around 1k per month. I have put on a new muffler, tailpipe, rear rotors and pads, and a new pulley and pulley wheel for the major stuff. This is the problem, I know I need to take it in for the 65K major, but have very little I want to spend. Perhaps I can do $150 worth of work one month and the same the next. I just changed my oil and air filter, but what are the obvious "must-have" things that need to be done? I plan to go to an independent who has done good work, has a good rep and charges around $50/hour.
I figure new plugs, radiator flushed, AC charged, general greasing, front end alignment and tires balanced and rotated and a general "look-see" on the front brakes, boots, shocks, etc. I know I must be skipping some obvious ones, so can I get some $.02 worth from folks?
Many thanks
