Front brake pads (long)

I just got done replacing my front brake pads and I found out why Tom W. couldn't use the Bendix pads. I ordered Bendix from Advance auto parts and they arrived the next day. Picked them up and took my front caliper off. Replaced the inner pad, so far, so good. Then, I tried to install the outer one. It wouldn't go in, I tried several different angles and it just wouldn't fit. I got the old pad and held it up to the new one. They were totally different. There was no way that new pad would fit. So, I took the pads back to the store and they ordered a set of Wearever ($43)and another set of Bendix ($37). This morning I went to pick up the pads and the second Bendix set was just like the first one. The Wearever set was a perfect match for the SAAB OE pads. The manager of the parts store was scratching his head over the Bendix pads being wrong and costing less than the Wearevers since Bendix is supposed to be a premium brand. The part numbers for both brands are the same but the Bendix definitely don't work. BTW this is the first set of replacement pads and the car has 59k on it. (95 900S)
