Howdy,

I recently purchased a 1995 900S Convertible with a 4 cyl. 2.3 litre engine. Fluids are fine. The temperature gauge in the panel moves up to exactly half resting between Cold and Hot. Nothing alarming. But I notice that when I turn off the car there is alot of heat coming from the underside of the car (towards the engine) and the hood is quite warm.

This is my first Saab. I have had a few VWs and the rest were American automobiles and they never seemed to get this warm. Is this normal for a Saab? There is nothing that signals me that I should be alarmed (the car runs EXCELLENT!). I just notice more heat that any car I have had in the past. Also, the elctric fan does indeed kick on...so it operating correctly.

Thank you for your input and I look forward to spending alot of time here. Im a big fan of message boards and I love my Saab...so Ill probably be around :)
