It took me about 1 hour the first time and 30 minutes the second time I changed the tranny fluid. I ran 10W-30 oil for a summer and then switched to MTL in the fall. I wasn't having any problems with shifting, but after 80k miles I thought it would be a good preventative measure. After letting the MTL slosh around in the tranny for a week or two, the shifting was indeed better.
Getting the drain plug out the first time was challenging. I used an 8mm allen socket and a 8 mm closed box wrench to turn the driver. But I needed to use a 19 mm wrench connected to the open end side on the 8 mm wrench to get enough leverage to break the plug free. BTW, this is a sign that a thread locking compound was used. The amount of torque required to break the plug free ended up bending the 8mm wrench up near the socket driver.
Betting to the fill plug took a couple of extentions and a universal adapter to get around the ABS system.
