Did the evap leak code come back again?
Techron can't be responsible for the jump in gas consumption. Any other changes? plugs?
Did you disconnect power to the ECU, that could have taken it out of some limp home or fail safe operation.
Inflating the tires to a higher pressure can help with fuel consumption.
No you cannot get too much air going throught the system. But a leak in the line to the manifold absolute pressure sensor will definately screw things up.
Perhaps your purge valve is kaput.
You vehicle needs the unvented gas cap i believe, part of the OBDII features in your system. A vented gas cap would cause problems.
The increase in boost pressures should be accompanied by a reduction of restrictions that created higher temperatures. With a MBC, the ECU cannot reduce boost, so temperature control becomes more important. Maybe the old exhaust will rot out soon :)
You should not gue the lamp lense gaskets, you may need to remove again. A very light film of silicone grease ensures safe removal later and will keep water out.
