Symptoms of a bad ignition switch?

Twice during the past week my 1995 900S would turnover fine and then cut out. I heard the annoying chime with the typical warning lights temporarily flash on. I can restart the vehicle fine and drive away. I noticed that my dash lights seem a little dim too. My battery and alternator was tested and they were good. My fluids are okay. I think it may be the ignition switch but I want to be sure before I bring it to the dealer. Also what are the symptoms of a bad solenoid? What should they look for? THanks!
