You'd have to disassemble the entire assembly. I replaced mine after both knobs broke. (well, one broke 1st, then I swapped the knobs and the other on broke). Culprit to the break was stiffness and then the stem actually was fractured - giving under pressure - breaking the knob
Anyway, to lube you'd have to remove the stems and apply the proper grease. btw: the stems remove from the rear of the assembly - wouldn't be worth it once you have it out.
I bought an entire assembly on the Internet from Rich at R&H Garage (http://www.saltfreesaabs.com) rather reasonably compared to new. The spring-loaded vent control rod was the worst part - you'll see if you choose to brave it.
