The strut top bushings could be shot. They were upgraded during 97 production I think, so perhaps you have the older style which had more problems.

If you need to change the bushings, you can replace the struts at the same time while things are apart. The koni shocks for your Saab will cost around $550 plus shipping.

Either there is a miscommunication withy your dealer, or you need to deal with someone else.

95SET, 150000 miles, orginal shocks and top bushings.
