This is what I did: Posted by Paul [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Installing CDC 635 in 900S, sandeep mehta, Thu, 2 Aug 2001 15:23:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
First. Pull out your radio from the dash (make sure you have the security code). Disconnect the two connectors in the rear of the radio.
Then wait about 30 seconds or so. Connect the cd to the cable in the rear cabin.
Then, connect the two connectors to the radio and put in the radio code when prompted.
Now see if you can select the cd. If you can then pull out Fuse #11 from the driver side door fuse panel.
If the cd does not get recognized, then try is again, or make a slight change by connecting the cd cable after you have put the code in the radio.
This is what I did and mine works ok.
By pulling the fuse, the radio will not do a diag. and you will always be able to select the cd.
Drawbacks are that you have to turn the radio off manually once you turn the car off. Also if you disconnect the battery for any reason (to work on car or change battery etc.) then remember to put the fuse #11 back in and put the radio code in and make sure you can select the CD again. After dont forget to take the fuse out once the radio and cd are working again.
