Help! Recently my car began to cut out every now and then. She'd start up again, so I thought nothing of it.
I was also going through coolant like crazy and dealer told me that it was my head gasket that needed to be replaced and that it was all related. So, $1400 later, my car not only stalled but wouldn't start up! Towed back to dealer and they said... "must have been vapour lock - you're low on fuel you know". Car runs fine now. Car ran good for one day. Next morning - she wouldn't turn over - there's lots of power just no catch. Dealer was puzzled and after looking over the car stated "We're not 100% sure, but we think its your ECM that needs to be replaced for $3000, but there is no guarantee"... Can you believe it? Needless to say, I took the car away from them pretty fast and now I am trying to figure out the REAL problem. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. G.
