An execellent post as always!

I find that I don't have understeer now. I have the full Viggen rescue kit. I don't think that my worn shocks are a factor, but they could be allowing abrupt body sway that may alter the steering geometry. But my concepts of under/over steer may differ from reality, or other folks perceptions!

I felt that before the rescue kit, that the inside front wheel was not working in the corners, but just along for the ride, so the outide front tire was doing all of the work, and I acually was able to get it to plow on clean dry flat warm pavement once. With the rescue kit, it is like the vehicle is on rails, you just turn the wheel and it pulls around corners like magic.

I ordered the sway bar last Friday, so hopefully in a week I will be reporting intial impressions. I will not be able to tweak the tire pressures as I can't run high pressures anymore. I assume that is a result of my 127000 shocks. With 38PSI, roadway flaws are real pounders.

95.5 and after model years with the small OD fabricated steering racks to have too much rubber in the oversized rack mount bushings. But that probably does not affect the steering geometry, but ones ability to steer and control. The other two mushy bushings and the subframe distortion are probably allowing geometry deflections that produce a disfunctional geometry under the stresses of cornering.

So, again, I am hoping that the sway bar will reduce body roll and eliminate some of the sway induced steering geometry issues that appear as oversteer when making high speed lane changes. Normal curves still feel a bit oversteerish, but reasonable. BYW, my toe-in is set to a low value.

As my steering is very quick with the rescue kit, this will be responsble for some of the sway induced oversteer. The stock suspension was not responsive enough to develop those dynamics.
