Let me tell you how reputable this guy is...

I just bought a 97 900S from him on the day before July 4th (2001). The car was in absolultely beautiful shape, except for a persistent problem getting the 5sp into reverse. I played real hardball with him on price and told him that if I could be comfortable with how to fix the reverse problem, I would buy it as-is- with no warranty for $11K, about $5K below retail, and about $2k below NADA wholsale at that point. He agreed, but reiterated that I had to fix the reverse problem, and also that, although we both sincerely thought it was a shifter linkage adjustment (there was no grinding noise), that it could be something as expensive as a bad synchro. Well....I got the car no more than 20 miles from his place, and it would'nt go into reverse at all, no matter what I did. (I actually had to push it...) Needless to say, I was pissed, both at them and at myself for taking the risk. I called Richard from the Saab dealer in Exeter, NH (I think I was actually yelling...), and, EVEN THOUGH HE WAS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO DO SO... Richard told me to bring it in and he would fix it. He ended up eating a new reverse gear and synchro replacement, and a week later, I finally got the car, at no $ out of my pocket. (It turns out that a set screw that keeps the spring retainer for the baulk ring on the reverse shft had come loose and droped into the gearing...ouch) It was the right thing for him to do as a dealer, since he knew there was some problem, but when I bought it as-is, he didn't have to do it. I bought the staff a case of Heineken!

Yes. I'd buy from him again. Besides that his prices are, no bullshit, wholesale prices, and with warranties. Tell him I said hi!
