'96 was the third year of production for the New Generation Saabs and most of the kinks were out from the 2 previous years. The price seems to be in order especially with the low miles.
Check the service records of the lease to determine the work that was done. Also, the dealer can check the complete history through the VIN number.
I have a '96 and have had to do no major work except for the rear input seals (under warranty) which would run about $400, and a new clutch cable. Both of these symptoms are common with this year.
I would have the dealer replace the serpentine belt and the idler pulleys as well. I love my car and with 86k miles looking to put on another 200k if possible.
Good luck
