Definitely not a bad idea. Mine broke this weekend while
I was cruisin' down the street after coming from a festival.
The two passengers and myself ended up pushing the car to the
side of the road and calling AAA for a tow(about an hour wait).
Very inconvient, not to mention embarrassing.
It wasn't as expensive as I anticipated(about $50 for the
cable, tow was free and my father and I put in the
cable ourselves).
What a difference! The car seems to go into gear a lot
smoother now. Before, even when depressing the clutch all
the way, it seemed that it needed to be depressed another
inch or so. Definitely not a bad idea to replace before
you get inconvienienced.
