Ok, re-reading your post, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. There are two joystick-adjustable vents in the dashboard facia, these are accessed with the dashboard removed, which from the manual, is quite involved. The third joysick vent on the pass. side is accessed from behind the glovebox. The glovebox is held in with a combination of screws and those plastic exmpanding rivits (push on the center to release). The drivers' defrost vent (non-adjustable) is also accessed from behind the instrument panel.
I don't really want to type in all the info on how to remove the dashboard, it's several pages in the manual. I would be happy to mail you a copy of those pages, or you can buy manual volume 8.2 p/n 355438 from your dealer for around $10. It covers "Interior Equipment".
