Mike- thanks for the reply. Yes I had the tires rotated front to back a few months ago and honestly the noise seems the same, so it is most likely coming from the front suspension. I guess I just wanted to be 100% certain by swapping with another set of wheels/tires. I don't notice a change in the noise while turning but I may be at the very beginning of a wheel bearing problem. I notice some vibration in the steering wheel at 65 to 75 mph that seems to be in concert with the rumbling noise- actually the vibration bothers me more than the subtle rumbling noise as these cars are fun to drive at 80 mph if you so desire. All tires have had their balance checked several times and corrected as necessary at the dealer. To see my original message on this you could search for "Accident- rumbling noise '95 900S". Prior to the accident the only noises I heard were the occasional cold morning rear suspension pop when backing out of my garage. The car presently has 48k on it and I purchased it new in '95. I appreciate your offer and I'll keep it in mind. I used to get out to State College often as one of my best friends and my sister-in-law went to college there (grilled stickys!). I seem to remember that the classic series 900S was pretty popular out there with a lot of people keeping them running into very high mileage.
