Liar, Liar Saab on Fire (nooo!!)

So a few months ago, my friends and I were driving around in my 1995 900S trying to figure out something to do. We got into a cool convo and decided to find a parking lot and sit and talk. I turned the car off completely, nothing on. After about an hour, we were done and I went to turn the car on. After I did, "REAR LIGHT FAILURE" was displayed on the SID and the "INFO DISPL" was illuminated in the speedo. I thought, "How annoying," and I asked my friend to get into the driver's seat and push pedals etc. while I looked at the back of the car. No lights were out. Blinkers, rear fog light, reverse lights, all brake lights, and license plate lights were fine. In fact, ALL of the lights were fine, all over the car. So I turned the car off completely, waited a minute, then turned it back on. Problem disappeared. But wait! There's more. Last weekend, a similar thing happened. I was sitting inside the car for awhile talking to a friend with the car completely off, and when I turned it on, the same thing happened. But no lights were out, just as before. Now I know this sounds ridiculous, but aside from the obvious possibilities of lose connections or whatever, could the fact that there were people sitting inside the car for awhile before it was turned on have any effect on it? I know I know... Probably not, but it only happened under those circumstances. So what is it? Is it an indication of a bigger problem lurking somewhere inside my Saab?
Thanks,
~Adrian
