Passanger Air bag Safety Recall Notice No. 15002....

Today I recieved a letter from SAAB Cars USA, that my 1998 900SET is subject to a passanger air bag safety recall. The Saab Recall No. 15002 states that the "passenger air bag may inadvertently deploy due to a build up of static electricity within the passanger air bag module." It also indicates that this problem "exists in 1998 Saab 900 models." There is no mention of VIN numbers or manufacture dates.
It says to contact the dealer for service. The service involves attaching a grounding strap to the pasanger air bag module. Service is free of charge, whether warranty has expired or not.
The Saab Recall No. 15002 futher states that I should "avoid cleaning or dusting the dashboard, particularly in cold, dry whethre since these conditions are more conductive to the build up of static electricity."
I have made an appointment to take the car in for servicing. Of course the dealer wants the car for the whole day so they can work it into their schedule. I will get a loan car.
I just wanted to let other 1998 900 owners know, in case they don't recieve the recall letter.
